Open to everyone who wants to write about health and illness.
This is an Amherst Writers & Artists (AWA) writing workshop with a twist. We’ll write to prompts, read, and give strengths-based feedback, as we always do in an AWA workshop. We’ll combine creative writing with close reading, the signature method of Narrative Medicine. We’ll look at a piece of art together and discuss what we notice, experience, and wonder about. It could be a piece of writing, visual art, or music. Best of all, you already have the skills and knowledge needed to participate.
A writer is someone who writes. New, rusty, and experienced writers welcome.
A Zoom link will be emailed to you the day before the workshop.
Cancellation policy: Email me at susanwingertphd@gmail.com a minimum of 72 hours before the workshop to receive a refund minus a $5 administration fee. After the cut-off, no refunds will be issued; however, you may sell or gift your spot to someone else. Please email me with their contact information so they receive the Zoom link.
